Ok, so the plan was to mount the GoPro camera on my chest as the head strap mount was something I just didn’t know if I could handle.
Holy Smokes, this is not going to work!
I’m getting drunk just watching this!
I so did not want to mount this thing on my head but chest mount while running is not an option.
Chest mount on a road bike…..Not too bad IMHO from this—–> previous video.

Love it! Can’t wait to start on mine. Love you honey bun
Hi guys,
I’m thinking about filming a marathon. Do you suggest head or chest.
Cheers,

Jim,
Well IMHO the best video will come from the Head Mount.
But it looks pretty goofy.
Then there is the chest mount. Not quite as good video and not quite as goofy.
I have gone for a third choice. I took the chest mount apart and mounted the main piece on my waist hydration belt. Here is the 2012 New Orleans Rock n’ Roll 13.1 with the new waist mount. Not as good video as Head or Chest but much more comfortable and much less goofy.

You might notice a Dan from the Biggest Loser show at the beginning in the orange.
I would be interested in knowing which mount you prefer.
Hope this helps.
Joe
Does anyone have some pictures or diagrams of this waist mount system?
What I did was took the “chesty mount” sold by GoPro. I dissembled it and weaved the main mounting piece into a standard Nathan waist hydration belt. Since then I have tried to simplify this by gluing a GoPro mount directly onto a buckle. The second idea did not work as well as the first and resulted in more camera movement.
Oh wait a minute, this video is simply done with the GoPro Chesty mount. The other reply was in reference to a waist mount that I used in other videos.
